ONE BAND, ONE SOUND! If you’ve seen the movie and TV series ‘DRUMLINE’ then you’ll love our Youth Drumline Academy.  Besides having fun, this ensemble teaches young students from, (3rd grade to 8th grade), the value of teamwork, discipline and the foundations of musicianship.

 

This group embodies the soulful, high-stepping style of the Historically Black College and University (HBCU) as well as the (movement) stepping choreography seated in the traditions of black Greek steppers.  

 

The group perform various drum cadences influenced by the contemporary style of Hip Hop, including in the style most seen on Beyonce’s Netflix special and Coachella performance. Students develop authentic marching band techniques suitable to a youth drumline in elementary grades.

 

Students get actual authentic marching performance experience with scheduled appearances all around the city. This group meet once a week for a 45 minute class. SPACE IS LIMITED, ENROLL TODAY!
